We all have fears. They are not a sign of weakness; rather, they are a testament to our humanity. Fears reflect our desire to protect ourselves and the people or things that matter most to us.
Do you know what you’re truly afraid of? And I’m not talking about spiders or the dark. I’m referring to those big, life-altering fears: Are you afraid of running out of time? Are you scared of ending up alone? Do you fear that everything you believe in is a lie? Are you afraid that you will never reach your full potential?
Many problems arise when we are unaware of our fears and instead spend our efforts trying to ignore or suppress them. When left unacknowledged, fears can silently drive our decisions without us even realizing it.
As a psychotherapist, I’ve noticed three common fears that often surface in my sessions. Let’s see if any of them resonate with you.
